Technology of producing ceramic-polymer antifriction wear resistant coatings
<< Ready solutions for enterprises on the application of the MAO technology
Controlling MAO regimes and electrolyte compositions allows one to produce coatings of various porosity. Due to this, the coatings can play the role of a matrix, to which polymer materials are applied, for instance, fluoroplastics, polyamides, lacquers, etc. A developed porous coating ensures good adhesion of a polymer material.
We have developed technological processes of producing a coating based on aluminium oxide and silicon dioxide.
Fluoroplastic, polyamide, polyethylene and other polymer materials are used as a solid lubricant. The above coatings allow increasing the durability of the basic material several tenfold. The characteristic feature of the composite coatings is a comparatively low operating temperature, e.g. for ceramic-fluoroplastic coatings - 200°C and for ceramic-polyamide coatings – up to 150°C;.
In 2003 we carried out fast testing of aluminium samples with a polymer-ceramic coating according to the standard techniques. The testing (All-Union State Standard B 20.57.304-76, All-Union State Standard PB 20.57.304-88) showed that the obtained coatings can be used as corrosion-resisting ones for 15 years.
